Dr. Abbie Victoria Trott is a theatre, media and audiences researcher based in Magandjin (Brisbane), Australia.
Interested in examining the reception of digital bodies, I research postdigital theatre with audiences. As a lecturer in Drama at The University of Queensland, I have been teaching theatre and performance at a tertiary level since 2014. I am an experienced stage and production manager across community theatre, circus, and multimedia performances and have worked at Deakin University as a research fellow on Leading Change for Audience Diversification in the Arts, a project about audience diversity and organisational change in Australian arts and culture, as a Teaching Associate in Digital Media at the University of Queensland and tutor in drama and technical production.
