Dr. Abbie Victoria Trott is a theatre, media and audiences researcher based in Magandjin (Brisbane), Australia.
Interested in examining the reception of digital bodies, I research postdigital theatre with audiences. Teaching theatre and performance at a tertiary level since 2014, I am an experienced stage and production manager across community theatre, circus, and multimedia performances. I currently work at Deakin University as a research fellow on Leading Change for Audience Diversification in the Arts, a project about audience diversity and organisational change in Australian arts and culture. I tutor media studies (with a little Drama on the side) at the University of Queensland and tutor drama and technical production at Queensland University of Technology.
